Getting your artwork print-ready the first time

Most production delays trace back to artwork, not printing. A few habits keep your first order on schedule.
Add at least an eighth inch of bleed so trimming never exposes a white edge. Keep raster images at 300 dpi at final size. Work in CMYK for offset, and specify Pantone codes for exact brand colors. Outline or embed fonts so nothing reflows.
